We are a gluten-free household. Not by choice – my husband is gluten-intolerant. So, most of my baking and cooking is gluten-free so he can eat it alongside the kids.
Years ago, buying gluten-free products was tough. They were hard to find, and most tasted awful!
But in recent years companies have come to care about making their products accessible to more people and safer for the whole family, which is awesome.
I’ve given the YesYouCan range a whirl and the family has given it the thumbs up. It tastes great and the recipes are easy to make – you just need a couple of extra ingredients and you can make things generally in minutes.

The YesYouCan range is affordable ($4.29-$6.99) and there is a great selection of cakes, breads and sweet treats. You can pick up the mixes from Pak N Save, Bin Inns and New World supermarkets. The family faves are the buttermilk pancake mix (that’s my son Lachie pictured with the pancakes by the way), banana bread mix and the red velvet cupcake mix. The cupcakes are pictured below and I put some cool edible flowers on top as these are growing at the moment in my garden!
